Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Mac Pro users demand the highest performance from their systems, especially when working with digital media applications. Corsair's Mac Memory is specifically designed for rock-solid stability in demanding digital media rich environments. Corsair Mac Memory allows users to maximize memory capacity and throughput to increase their systems performance.Mac Memory modules are Fully-Buffered DIMMs, or FB-DIMMs, which are different than the typical memory running in standard PCs. In an FB-DIMM module, the memory controller does not write directly to the memory module, but to a buffer, which then writes to the module. This buffer, the Advanced Memory Buffer (AMB) can also provide built-in error checking and correction.Built to Corsair's legendary quality and reliability standards, Mac Memory FB-DIMM modules are fully tested to ensure maximum compatibility and performance in Apple Mac Pro products. Adding system memory is one of the most effective ways to improve overall performance and Corsair's Mac Memory offers a full line of choices for upgrading your specific Mac Pro platform. FB-DIMMs require two identical modules to be installed at once for proper operation.

5 out of 5 stars Excelent   December 13, 2008
Excelente product, I installed it and from the begining it started to work without problems. Now my Mac runs a lot more faster. Great product!

1 out of 5 stars iMac (Intel) crashes with this upgrade kit   December 3, 2008
Got this 4gb kit to sweeten my Intel iMac and lo and behold, my iMac started to crash on reboot each time. It will allow me to log on and as soon as I select any app, it will crash and instruct me to reboot. After all night session rebooting I am tired of this and returning it now.

Not sure whether this is compatible with iMac (Intel Core2 Duo) or not, although the product description says it should be.

4 out of 5 stars Quick and Easy   October 1, 2008
It as a quick and easy upgrade going to 4GB in my MacBook with the corsair memory. So far though I cannot say I have greatly improved performance. I have not had any issues with the memory.

4 out of 5 stars Corsair 4 GB memory - works great in my MacBook Pro   August 5, 2008
Memory was easy to install in my MacBook Pro. Worked perfectly. Worst part was the usual frustration of getting the memory out of the indestructible blister pack.

Wow, I'm amazed in the difference in my white MacBook. I upgraded it from 1Gb and now it's flying. Easy installation and believe me it does really a great difference if you are upgrading from 1 or 2 gig. But if you are upgrading from a non-low-latency I think there's no need nor improvement.
