Saved me from Norton slow death. A godsend product January 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After struggling for years with slow slow start-ups and live updates, I installed my yoggie. Now all of the housekeeping is done away from my laptop processor and my performance increased so noticeably that I feel like I have a brand new computer. It's just what a top utility should be; totally transparent and it does its job to perfection. Most of the functionality is first rate. I have not had any virus attacks so I can't tell how well it does its job or maybe I had an attack and it was taken care of for me. Some functionality might be just below the best of breed but the performance boost more then makes up for that.
Yoggie Pico is worth its' weight in GOLD! September 23, 2008 I've been using the Yoggie Pico just over a month now. In spite of the fact that I used to catch a virus or Trojan on a regular basis, haven't had a single incident since installing it. It has cut my maintenance time for my PC in a big way, not having to chase infections. Just be aware, you need some of the Security Updates in (XP) Service Pack 3 before it will install. As soon as they make a driver for my Mac, I'll buy one for that machine. Well worth the small expense to offload virus and Trojan (etc, etc!) detection and blocking to a separate, dedicated microprocessor. I cannot recommend this product strongly enough.
Yoggie for Me October 28, 2008 I got a great price on a Yoggie Pico security system for my laptop when I travel. I had no problem installing it and it is amazing. It is a micro computer running a linux o/s. Basically it is bait for any Malware or virus that wants to attach to a "computer". It basically gathers any problems before they get to your hard drive and formats itself the next time you boot up. Its instruction program is encrypted and imbedded so it cannot be altered or deleted. This allows you to go without other confusing programs and firewalls that slow your computer and not worry in wi-fi hotspots where ever you travel. Cool stuff

The unit I received appeared to be faulty, it was not reconized when I attempted to isntall it on three different windows XP systems. The unit ran VERY hot, almost too hot to hold after 5 minutes.
I cannot comment on functionality or useability as I never could get the unit to install. Based on this small sample I could not recommend the product.
Slow internet connections, no ability to authenticate, no way January 2, 2009 one of the positive reviews was very interesting, they actually knew more about how the device worked than professional reviews on other websites and more than Yoggie itself publishes. Inside review?
Anyway, I've attempted to use this for months. The first thing we noticed was all of our web accessed was slowed, quite noticeably. I then did research on the web and found one professional reviewer who had measured internet connection speed and confirmed what I thought, this inline security device by intercepting and retransmitting web traffic and processing it for any security issues slows connection speed. Far more than software based firewalls like Comodo or Norton.
Next we noticed we couldn't get into email, bank of america, ebay, amazon, etc on the initial login page. It was an issue which was never fixed, regardless of the firmware uploads.
Finally the device would from time to time stop all traffic going into and out of the computer while it was trying to update it's virus signature. The only way around it was to disable the device.
50 emails (I counted) to Yoggie tech support back and forth and no fix. No solution.
Do not get this product!
